The Story Behind Herdle
Hi, I’m Carmen – creator of Herdle.
After my long-term relationship ended, I realised I wanted something different from the usual online experience. I didn’t want to swipe or collect more chat threads. I wanted real plans, real people, and real moments. I wanted to get out, try new things, and build a life that felt like mine again.
The more I talked to others, the more I realised it wasn’t just me – so many of us are craving genuine connection. We move cities, shift careers, outgrow circles, or just get stuck in routines… and suddenly it feels harder to find “our people.”
I created Herdle because meeting new people shouldn’t feel awkward, complicated, or digital-first. It needs to feel human. Intentional. Real.
Taking a leap of faith to build Herdle was the next step – and now, here we are

You’re here at the very start of Herdle (we’re calling it Phase One) and we’re so glad you are here.
Right now, Herdle helps you find local activities, meet new friends through shared interests, and build real-life connections (and maybe even a little romance). But this is just the first step.
Our big dream? To create something much more than an app. We want to create a space where loneliness is replaced with laughter, small talk turns into real talk, and strangers become part of your inner circle.
